SHORT BIO

 

Two years after losing his job in 2008, during the Great Recession, Billy found himself working homeless in New York City. During that time, Billy taught himself to play guitar,  began writing songs, and started playing acoustic shows in Union Square.

in 2012, he released his debut album, American Music. The album drew critical acclaim, and was lauded as "One of the Top 10 Rock Albums" of the year.

After extensive touring in support of American Music, Billy spent 7 months riding across the country on his Harley, Faith, in search of the songs for his follow up album; playing bars in every town along the way for food and gas money.

The songs written along that journey became Billy's second album, National Anthem. The single from that album gave Billy his first Top 40 charting song, and earned him several awards and honors.

In 2015, Billy moved to Nashville and recorded and released his first Music Row Top 100 charting single.

An energetic live performer, Billy has headlined at both Sturgis and Harley Rendezvous, and opened for Uncle Kracker and Aaron Lewis.
